Advertising Technology Engineer / Corporate Technology-MediaOS

This role is responsible for the ad tech development work on a number of high profile websites within the Hearst media portfolio in the US, EU, and Asia as well as the support of various internal ad tech products.

Main Task & Responsibilities:

  • To work with, and integrate DFP (DoubleClick for Publishers) ad tags
  • To work with 3rd party ad technology providers/platforms (eg. Rubicon, Audience Science, OpenX)
  • To implement ad code as part of larger projects (such as site migrations and launches)
  • To work with DFP and AppNexus APIs
  • To work on a variety of internal ad tech tools

Skill Set:

  • Strong technical background and a proven ability to work with non-technical business staff alongside a willingness to learn new technologies
  • Self-starter, takes initiative, and works independently
  • Strong cross browser compatibility skills
  • Understanding of ad serving and associated technologies
  • Strong HTML5, CSS and JavaScript
  • Experience with a GIT code repository workflow
  • Experience of working with DFP or other ad server
  • Experience of working with a tag management system
  • Experience working with various ad tech APIs (DFP, AppNexus…)
