The Product Owner, Ad Products serves as our consumer proxy and is responsible for working with Product Management and other stakeholders - including other Product Owners - to collaborate on solving business problems.
Manage the ad product feature set. What gets prioritized? What’s best for the bottom line?
Balance tactics and strategic objectives. Are we making progress? What is competition doing?
Help with stories/scenarios. Define, timeline, prioritize to sprints and releases.
Develop ad product story acceptance criteria to establish the definition of “done”.
Document and maintain technical requirements, configurations, work-flows and QA test cases for the advertising solutions to be built and implemented 1
Be a team player. Work with Product, Dev, Scrum leads, and UX to make it all work.
Regularly communicate the status of new advertising initiatives, including release dates, challenges and production issues
Configure platforms and systems to ensure proper delivery of ad products in both test and production environments.
Perform User-Acceptance testing for the advertising solutions built into the consumer platforms
Troubleshoot and drive to resolution production issues with advertising solutions inside digital platforms
Work with the QA groups to ensure advertising solutions are properly implemented and functional across all platforms
Maintain awareness of industry trends, technology, etc. through active participation in industry groups/task forces such as the IAB, by reading appropriate industry publications, screening potential vendors, and attending events/conferences
A demonstrated track record of successfully delivering complex projects with demanding deadlines.
Ability to translate technical information to business users in non-technical ways.
Ability to speak with IT and understand what they are saying.
Mad project management skills, attention to details, and business savvy
Ability to lead a team of people towards a common goal/vision
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong analytical, problem solving and diagnostic skills.
Have purchased a vehicle. Or drove one. Or have ridden in one.
5+ years in a Product Owner or Business Analyst role (experience in Ad Technology is a plus)
Understanding of web-based ad serving systems, creative technologies, and database marketing.
Familiarity with the Agile Scrum software
