The Primary role of a production assistant is to feed free standing inserts (FSIs) into the inserting machines. This role involves a good deal of manual labor including standing, bending, and lifting up to 10 pounds repeatedly for the duration of a 10 hour shift. Production Assistants will also be expected to stack product off the press line onto pallets. Due to the variable nature of the workload week to week, a flexible schedule is necessary.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- "Safety First" awareness.
- Implement and maintain 5S principles throughout the work area
- Provide training for incoming production assistants
- Support all aspects of production
- To undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required by Supervisors and Operation Staff
This is an entry-level position
Experience in effectively multitasking and still produce detailed and quality results.
Time management and organizational skills.
Understand technical applications easily and confidently.
Ability to handle many tasks at once with quality and production effective solutions.
Able to perform effectively under pressure or tight deadlines.
Able to stay level headed/grounded with a number of tasks and still performing to a high degree of which the work is personally satisfying.
