This position is responsible for many aspects of accounting and finance related activities, including managing the close process, applying US GAAP to record accounting transactions, maintaining the general ledger and preparing financial statements and reporting. This position will be working in a fast paced environment to meet deadlines while working with a small team of accounting professionals (2 direct reports).


  • Manage the monthly accounting close process

  • Review journal entries, including re-classes and accruals

  • Perform financial statement variance analysis and provide relevant explanations for fluctuations

  • Prepare monthly financial statements

  • Review balance sheet account reconciliations

  • Approving cash disbursements

  • Ensure integrity of all accounting and financial systems

  • Strive for efficiencies in accounting and financial operations and ensure compliance with internal control framework

  • Assist with internal audits, including updating internal key control documents

  • Develop effective accounting processes

  • Manage and mentor team of accounting professionals

  • Provide business and strategic analysis to support decision making

  • Provide financial recommendations and insights

  • Other projects as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or Finance; MBA or CPA a plus

  • 6 – 8 years of accounting experience in a fast paced environment

  • Experience with financial planning, accrual reporting and financial reporting

  • Experience with month-end and year-end close

  • Proven track record in decision support, business analysis and financial modeling

  • Solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)

  • Proficient with Excel and Outlook

  • Problem solver with ability to leverage data and analysis to support recommendations

  • Self-motivated with ability to take initiative

  • Strong interpersonal skills with customer-orientation

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Detailed oriented and deadline driven in a fast paced environment

  • Strong team player with high level of integrity and ability to influence others
