Actuarial Analyst | Hybrid or Remote

Summary:
The Actuarial Analyst for Medicare Part D product will work as part of a team of actuaries responsible for performing all actuarial analysis for Healthfirst's Medicare Part D product, including Bid pricing and desk review, quarterly forecast and annual budget, monthly financial close analytics, risk score analytics, data analysis, experience monitoring, etc.

HYBRID vs. REMOTE

• A hybrid work schedule which consists of reporting to our 100 Church Street, NYC office (3) days per week.

OR

• A 100% remote position from one of our approved states excluding Alaska, Arkansas, California, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Missouri, Ohio, Oregon, Rhode Island, Washington DC & Wisconsin.

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the Medicare Part D bid process, including bid preparation and desk review follow-ups
  • Run, modify, and create data queries to produce supplemental reports
  • Perform risk score, pricing, and other data analytics for Medicare Part D product
  • Monitoring experience and analyzing performance of Medicare Part D product
  • Modify or add models as needed for changing business needs
  • Other ad-hoc analysis on Medicare Part D product

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Finance, or related degree
  • Passed 1 to 2 Actuarial Exams
  • Proficient skills in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong programming/coding skills (SAS, SQL, or Python)
  • Genuine Interest in learning about the Medicare Part D bid process
  • Must have experience working with large, complex datasets, including both financial & healthcare data
  • Ability to collect, analyze and summarize qualitative/quantitative data
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work well in a team setting
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve

Hiring Range:

  • Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $65,600 - $94,775
  • All Other Locations (within approved locations): $58,300 - $86,700

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
