Sr Developer - Data Engineer

Job Purpose: Building out the data backend for some great APIs. Identify and prototype data stores. Build reference implementations. Build and manage a common component framework for API architectures. Create devops practices for data stores. Establish standards and best practices. Mentor and coach peers.

Required Job Qualifications:

•Bachelor Degree and 4 years Information Technology experience OR Technical Certification and/or College Courses and 6 years Information Technology experience OR 8 years Information Technology experience.
Possess ability to sit and perform computer entry for entire work shift, as required.
Possess ability to manage workload, manage multiple priorities, and manage conflicts with customers/employees/managers, as applicable.

Experience with following tech/environments:

•Continuous Integration/Delivery technologies (Jenkins, Bamboo, Concourse, Travis)
Databases (Cassandra, Hazelcast, Gemfire, Hadoop)
JVM tuning for performance and memory management
Object Oriented Programming experience (Java, Ruby, C#)
Proficiency in domain driven design and domain modeling.
Linux system administration
Orchestration tools(Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform)
Version Control(Git, CVS, SVN, etc)
Enterprise Middleware(Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc)

•Exposure Cloud Technologies (Azure, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, AWS)

•Service oriented architecture (SOA).
Experience in web technologies (HTML/CSS/Java/ASP.Net/PHP/Ruby/C).
Experience in cloud computing technologies (SaaS / IaaS / PaaS).
Experience in application configuration.
Rapid prototyping.
SDLC Methodology (Agile / Scrum / Extreme Programming).
System performance management.
Systems change / configuration management.
Business requirements management.
Problem solving /analytical thinking.
Creative thinking.
Ability to execute.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

•Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
