Job Purpose:

This position is responsible for conducting Blue Cross Maximum Reimbursement Cost (MRC) audits from scheduling through finalization. Maintains full responsibility for all field and desk audit activities performed in order to verify that reasonable cost data submitted by providers is compiled and reported fairly and accurately in conjunction with GAAP, Medicare reporting, and Blue Cross reporting methodologies.

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 1 year of Financial or Medicare auditing experience OR 1 year of hospital accounting or reimbursement/budget experience, OR 1 year CPA firm auditing experience in the hospital field.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, Medicare, and or Blue Cross auditing experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/assignments.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • PC proficiency to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
