Recovery Support Assistant (Farmington/Gallup NM)
This position will be based out of the Farmington/Gallup area and is work from home
Under supervision, this position is responsible for promoting a culture in which the voices representing people with lived mental health and substance use experiences and recovery become part of the institution; promoting a recovery oriented system of care; serving as a member advocate; providing support for staff and members during emergencies as well as in outpatient and inpatient settings; serving as a mentor/role model demonstrating competency in recovery, effective coping skills and self-help strategies.
•High school Diploma or GED.
•Valid States Drivers License.
•Current or past consumer of mental health or co-occurring behavioral health services.
•2 years success within personal recovery model.
•Ability to utilize individual and group skills.
•Knowledge of local community behavioral health services.
• Peer Support Specialist certification.
