Job Purpose:

This position is responsible for performing the Illinois Medicaid Alternative Payment Program payment and reconciliation processes. Responsible for calculating alternative payments, preparing and delivering provider settlements, and reconciling payments and claims. Responsible for handling all provider inquiries as they pertain to provider settlement calculations and the research and resolution of all provider inquiries. Resolving provider issues may involve processing required financial reconciliations and/or working with other departments for resolution.

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
  • 3 years financial analysis and/or accounting experience.
  • Experience with database software and Microsoft Office software products.
  • Analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-directed and highly motivated to perform all related job functions.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • Public Accounting experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • Experience in Health Insurance industry.
