Quality Management Specialist I

This position is based out of the Chicago HQ office.
This position is responsible for facilitating all aspects of assigned BCBSIL clinical quality improvement projects and evaluation of PCP/MG/IPA compliance with BCBSIL clinical practice guidelines; consults with MG/IPAs, physicians, providers, members, and other resources, as appropriate, to assess, plan, facilitate implement, coordinate, monitor and evaluate options and services required to meet clinical quality improvement project objectives; uses available resources to promote high quality and cost-effective outcomes.
• Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Respiratory Therapist, or another medical specialty i.e., Physicians Assistant, Corpsman) with an unrestricted license in The State of Illinois.
• 3 years clinical practice experience.
• Current Illinois driver's license.
• Ability to travel including overnight stays.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• PC proficiency to include Word and Excel.
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Quality improvement and/or project management experience.
