BASIC FUNCTION:

Under supervision, this position is responsible for supporting Network Representatives by answering phones, tracking information, responding to provider inquiries, preparing credentialing and recredentialing grids, and other activities necessary to support network development; maintaining provider information on new and existing providers; researching and responding to inquiries from physicians; and providing on-going support to providers regarding participation, procedures and products, etc

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3 years' experience in Network Management, Credentialing or Customer Service.
  • 3 years' experience utilizing Microsoft Office Tools
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; teamwork and problem solving skills; interpersonal and organizational skills

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Understanding of BCBSTX policies, products and procedures; contracts, applications and products.
  • Experience within the Managed Care industry.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
