Financial Analyst - IT

The Financial Analyst role will closely partner with the Technology Division supporting the Security and Data organizations. This position is responsible for the support of the core business activities of Financial Management (Cost Accounting, Budgeting and Forecasting) to the Information Technology division by performing daily activities of a complex nature including financial analysis, performance reporting, stakeholder collaboration and the presentation of finance-related information to executive leadership. Ensures compliance with budget guidance and cost accounting rules.

•Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics or Finance and 5 years business experience in corporate financial reporting and budgeting or IT operational functions in IT Financials, OR 8 business experience in corporate financial reporting and budgeting or IT operational functions in IT Financials.
•Knowledge of tools/applications used within Internal Operations (i.e. Blue View, Center View, Workforce Tools, PeopleSoft, Ariba, ITAM, ISAM, Clarity, eBudget) and experience with at least one tool or comparable
•Experience in SSD or HealthTech budget preparation.
•Experience in merger and acquisition activities requiring due diligence performance.
•Customer service skills including managing customers expectations and/or vendor relationships.
•Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
•Presentation, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
•PC proficiency to include Word, Excel, MS Access, PowerPoint and Lotus Notes.
•Detail orientated.

•Experience with consolidating and analyzing financial data and developing financial models to support key strategic initiatives.
•Knowledge of IT hardware/software assets which include software licenses and maintenance costs.
•Experience maintaining/tracking vendor spend and ensuring accruals are processed to align expenses with the month the work occurred.
•Knowledge of IT cost structure used to provide in depth analysis around project costs (hardware, software, contract labor, absorbed labor and core budget costs).
•Ability to create high-quality narratives and presentation materials
•Possesses and applies broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures in the field of specialization
•Demonstrates critical thinking, decision-making capability as well as strong written and verbal communication skills
•Demonstrates capacity to work well in a team environment
