This position is responsible for assisting in: serving as a bridge between the development and operations functions; identifying the interdependencies and productivity barriers between these functions as they collaborate for continuous solutions delivery; accelerating development-operations collaboration by developing automation for operations processes; improving developer productivity and delivery speed by enabling them to be more self-sufficient; working collaboratively with software engineering to deploy and operate our systems; helping automate and streamline our operations and processes. Build and maintain tools for deployment and operations; troubleshooting and resolving issues in our dev, test and production environments.
Required Job Qualifications:
•Bachelors degree and 2 years experience in systems engineering or administration OR 8 years experience in systems engineering or administration
•Experience in continuous integration, test-driven development, and other DevOps disciplines
•Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration
•Experience with automation/configuration management platforms like Ansible
• Experience extending JIRA functionality using REST API (ex. Build custom add-ons, develop integrations, or scripting interactions.
•Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services
•Experience with developing enterprise integrations to facilitate end-to end traceability
•Experience with SQL and MySQL
•Working understanding of code and script (PHP, Python, Perl and/or Ruby)
Preferred Job Qualifications:
•Bachelors degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ yrs experience as a JIRA administrator including software upgrades, project customization, workflow development
•1 years experience in software development
•Experience with programming constructs like Inheritance, Modularity, Polymorphism
•Experience with container technology like Docker and container management tools like Kubernetes
•Experience in leading technical teams.
