Digital Associate Producer - Freelance

The Job

The HBO Digital Associate Producer supports HBO-s Digital Marketing Production team to help manage all aspects of digital content and marketing for HBO Original and HBO MAX programming, including implementing strategy, adhering to the publishing processes, scope development, project tracks management, status reporting, and stakeholder management. The Associate Producer will follow the Producer-s lead to ensure all factors that govern site/project success deliver within time, cost and quality parameters.

The Daily

  • Assist in producing and maintaining HBO Marketing-s digital experiences, responsibilities include:
  • Collaborating with Editors and Designers to author and publish content with 100% accuracy across HBO.com and project related microsites and digital destinations
  • Manage and execute on owned project tracks for marketing campaigns including microsites and transmedia, podcasts, experiences and events, and email newsletters
  • Creating and communicating project statuses, keeping the larger marketing team and stakeholders up to date
  • Identifying/mitigating risk
  • Obtaining both internal and external approvals
  • Reviewing all digital deliverables for quality assurance

The Essentials

  • The ideal candidate follows the latest digital trends and has a deep understanding of digital experiences and best practices
  • Experienced at producing high quality digital experiences and websites with at least 2 years relevant digital experience. Mobile, tablet and emerging technology experience/development production a plus
  • Possesses the ability to interpret how best to employ digital tools as a means to translate on-air storylines into vivid digital experiences
  • Professional, proactive, organized, efficient, detail-oriented, quick-to-learn, unassailable focus on the basics, tenacious (persistent about bringing open items/projects to closure), accountable, enthusiastic, able to follow detailed instructions from the Producer team
  • A track record of developing and maintaining a strong working relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders and an ability to be able to communicate technical needs to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to balance multiple, competing directions and manage multiple projects successfully
  • Strong communication (written, verbal, presentation) and influence-management skills essential; can collaborate effectively and efficiently
  • A sound knowledge of the web, social media and emerging technology
  • Proven ability to publish and manage content in Content Management System(s)
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to respond after-hours for important, timely or urgent matters
  • Ability to be discrete and maintain highly confidential information
  • Proficiency in MAC OSX, Asana, Slack, MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel, Adobe Experience Manager, Keynote and Google Docs
  • Strong interest in virtual reality, augmented reality, video games, and A.I. preferred
  • Experience with VFX/post production, Unity, Unreal Engine, or custom real-time rendering engines preferred
  • Working knowledge of the film/TV production process preferred
