Curriculum Writer (Temporary)

HCZ requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment. Accordingly, successful candidates must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and submit proof of vaccination prior to commencement of employment.

We are seeking a temporary part-time remote curriculum writer that will support in creating, editing and proofreading curricula with Academic Support Specialist in various core subjects (Mathletics, English and Science). The primary role of the curriculum writer is to help ensure that students meet or exceed grade level standards and expectations within a given subject area through standard’s based instructional resources.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and help implement new academic standard’s based instructional materials and lessons
• Assist in the editing, proofreading of curricula and lessons plans on various core subjects.
• Partner with Academic Support Team to develop standard’s based instructional strategies
• Design and or revise remedial units of instruction in core subjects (ELA, math and science) to meet students’ needs with special attention given to differentiation for individual strengths and weaknesses
• Create and maintain a working collaboration with the other coordinators at the program
• Performs other duties as assigned
