Corporate - Merchandise Manager
The Merchandise Manager will be responsible for developing merchandising strategies that will deliver assigned sales and profit goals, and continue to position Hanna Andersson as the premiere children's lifestyle brand. They will work collaboratively within a fast moving and nimble cross-functional team to develop differentiated and impactful assortment strategies.
A Merchandise Manager at Hanna is responsible for:
•\tDevelop, communicate and drive seasonal business and assortment strategies that meet or exceed financial targets and customer expectations
•\tManage all merchandising activities for assigned category, including: competitive analysis, hindsights, line briefs, assortment planning process, seasonal business plans, pricing, promotional plans, IMU/GM management, brand and channel assortments including customer facing strategies
•\tProficiently analyze and hindsight business results and marketplace information to develop data driven insights
•\tCommunicate results and insights succinctly and clearly to all levels of company, informing and adjusting business tactics and strategy as needed
•\tCommunicates seasonal department strategies to key functional areas (design, sourcing, inventory planning, visual merchandising, marketing, web, creative) in order focus the team on alignment and achieving business goals.
•\tPartners with planning and inventory management to drive inventory investment, plan pricing and promotions and channel assortments to achieve financial success.
•\tPartners with design to ensure assortments and merchandising strategies are in alignment with business and customer needs
•\tPartner with cross functional teams to ensure product developed delivers on brand filters, customer and financial goals
•\tLead key work flow initiatives as assigned for merchandising team
•\tExtra projects as assigned
•\tBachelor's degree in Business, or equivalent experience.
•\tYou have 5+ years experience in merchandising in a specialty retail environment, and
experience in children's apparel strongly preferred.
•\tKnowledgable of trend, aesthetic positioniong, and assortment planning ability.
•\tDemonstrated success at developing profitable merchandise strategies.
•\tThorough understanding of merchandise financial planning and key metrics
•\tHighly analytical, data driven, able to develop and articulate insights to move business forward
•\tAbility to problem solve
•\tStrong presentation, listening skills, and excellent verbal and written communicator
•\tStrong interpersonal skills; and have demonstrated ability to communicate throughout an organization
•\tEffective working independently as well as in a team environment.
•\tYou are able to travel, both domestically and internationally.
