Corporate - Human Resources Specialist
This role owns the day-to-day administration of recruiting, hiring, onboarding and ongoing employment changes in the HR System of record. Responsibilities include initial posting of jobs, creating offer letters, processing background checks, I-9 management, and monitoring automated onboarding system for new hires. You will provide initial customer service for retail human resource inquiries. The ideal candidate will be an organized team player that enjoys managing and prioritizing multiple ongoing tasks. Someone that thrives in a collaborative team environment, isn't shy about jumping in and problem solving, and is eager to grow and develop within Human Resources.
•\tManage job postings in applicant tracking system and post jobs to corporate career website and other external sources and refresh as needed.
•\tProcess pre-employment screening including criminal background check on candidates selected for hire.
•\tManage the I-9 everify process for new hires, and ongoing management of data
•\tGenerate job offer letters and initiate onboarding system set-up for all new hires.
•\tProvide follow-up and tracking of onboarding tasks for new hires.
•\tCreate new associate files and ensure all required new hire paperwork is timely completed.
•\tProcess status and compensation changes in HRIS as needed.
•\tRespond to employment verifications and assist with processing of unemployment claims and other inquiries.
•\tAssist with benefits administration in HRIS for enrollments and terminations.
•\tAssist with new-hire benefits orientations and open enrollment.
•\tAssist in periodic audits of the benefits-related data.
•\tRespond to benefits inquires from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes, and other general inquires.
•\tAssist with ongoing reporting of organizational data from HRIS system
•\tAssist in managing employee events, wellness events, and monthly all employee meetings.
•\tAssist with launching compliance training and monitoring completion to deadlines.
•\tBachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration required, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
•\tMinimum two years of relevant professional experience in human resource compliance, benefits, HRIS or recruitment support.
•\tIntermediate level of knowledge related to recruiting and legal employment practices and Federal/State labor laws.
•\tKnowledge of HR related systems strongly preferred: ADP - Applicant Tracking and Human Resources as well as Silk Road Red Carpet Onboarding.
•\tDiplomacy and skill in handling sensitive and confidential situations.
•\tProficient with Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
•\tAbility to quickly learn and master new systems.
•\tStrong communication, judgment, and interpersonal skills.
•\tExcellent writing skills are required due to volume of email correspondence with both internal and external contacts.
•\tExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
•\tStrong relationship building skills.
•\tSelf-motivated and self-disciplined. Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
