Corporate - Colorist

The Colorist will assist in development of each season's color palette by ordering Pantone and custom standards, assembling color books and initiating color names with the copywriter. The Colorist is responsible for managing each seasonal color palette and maintaining Hanna Andersson's high level of color matching throughout the product development process. This person will be required to work under tight deadlines and is responsible for meeting critical calendar dates.

Essential Functions:

•\tAssist design in development of the seasonal color palette by ordering Pantone and custom standards, assembling color books and initiating color names with the copywriter

•\tCreate and manage digital color palettes

•\tCalibrate the printer for best possible color matching

•\tInput color into Filemaker and create new color codes as needed

•\tSend color standards and digital seasonal color palettes to each vendor

•\tReview, comment and track all lab dips and bulk submits for all categories with all vendors

•\tCommunicate clearly and promptly with vendors throughout the development season

•\tFile and organize all color standards and color submits

•\tReview photo samples each season and keep records of incorrect color to communicate with creative team

•\tEnsure that all development calendar deadlines are met

•\tPartner with cross-functional partners to achieve AUC goals, deliver on design intent and sales/growth strategies

Requirements:

•\tBachelor's degree in Apparel Design degree or related field of study

•\t1 year related experience

•\tBe a Brand Ambassador at all times - be highly engaged and represent our passion for our brand, our products and our company

•\tAdobe Illustrator proficiency, Photoshop or CAD system experience; knowledge of MS Excel a plus

•\tStrong color awareness/recognition

•\tStrong organizational and problem-solving skills

•\tDemonstrated ability to produce accurate work under tight deadlines

•\tExcellent verbal, written and visual communication skills

•\tDetail-oriented

•\tAwareness of current fashion trends
