Founded in 2012 by Oisin Hanrahan & Umang Dua while at Harvard Business School, Handy has both a direct-to-consumer offering and partners with the largest retailers and platforms in the world (Wayfair, Walmart, Facebook, etc.) to bring fixed-price, instantly bookable home services to consumers in hundreds of cities in the US, Canadian and UK, across service categories such as cleaning, TV mounting, furniture assembly, wall hanging, electrical, plumbing, and more. We are a collaborative team of about 100 people across marketing, ops, customer support, product, data, finance and engineering, and our headquarters is located in the Flatiron District.


About the role
Handy's Analytics team is responsible for providing the organization with value-added data insights and business-critical reporting that meets the most important business needs. As a senior growth analyst, you will:

  • Partner with the VP of Growth and Chief Product Officer to identify opportunities to use data-driven insights to drive growth initiatives
  • Become an expert in the analytics tools and data sets of various marketing channels including e.g., Adwords, SEO, Facebook
  • Structure analyses to determine drivers of growth (across acquisition campaigns, conversion, pricing, retention, etc.) and use findings to inform recommendations and testing plans
  • Provide analytical support for A/B testing including experiment design, timing / sample size, and analysis of results
  • Identify high-impact growth analytics tooling for the growth and product teams


What we're looking for

  • 3+ years management consulting experience at a top firm
  • Analytics experience at a consumer tech company is a plus
  • BA/BS in an analytical field such as economics, math, stats, computer science
  • Expert in Excel; knowledge of databases and SQL
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Creative problem solver with the ability to translate data analytics and insights into actionable recommendations for the business
  • A passion for marketplaces, the sharing economy, and/or the on-demand services space
  • Willingness to adapt to a fast-paced work environment; hack, test and learn mentality; team player
  • Bonus points for:
  • Knowledge of Python
  • Knowledge of A/B testing frameworks
  • Knowledge of common dashboarding tools like Looker, Tableau
