If you’re always up for a new project, ready to run head-on into change, and comfortable with the uncomfortable, you’ll fit right in here. Join Guidewire as a Software Engineer - DevOps.

Ready to become the best you can be? Want to master complex projects, working with specialists at the top of their field? Join our small DevOps team -a group of curious minds dedicated to improving the customer experience for millions of people using our sophisticated products.

You'll play a vital role in building Atmos, aka our Cloud Platform. Day to day, you'll be involved with coding and testing various Kubernetes and AWS resources, as well as services that align with Security and Network requirements. You'll have experience in designing and solving problems for large-scale distributed systems, coupled with a good grasp of the network paradigms and stacks available.

Driven by integrity, you'll value detail and push for excellence, taking ownership of your work. If you’ve got the right outlook, we’ll help you to learn and grow.

Most of the team have a Computer Science degree, but that's not essential as long as you have the right skills and work ethic. We need someone with top-notch interpersonal qualities who's not afraid to speak up about the things that matter.

Ideally you'll have:

  • Experience using Terraform, Bash, and Terratest/Go.
  • Ability to build platform software using Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native technologies.
  • Extensive experience using public cloud providers like AWS.
  • An Agile, systematic problem-solving approach.
  • Experience with Linux system administration, using Go, Python, Java, or the equivalent.
  • The bottom line? It'll take more than just technical skills and qualifications to make the grade here. If you're an innovative problem-solver who’s motivated to learn, we can't wait to hear from you.
