Lead BI Engineer – Tableau, Snowflake

Our Business Technology team is seeking a Engineer to join the team developing Enterprise Integrations (EI) and BI/Analytics solutions on our best-of-class cloud integration and data platforms.  Your contributions in developing these solutions will directly impact mission-critical business processes that run our business.

As a Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for both hands-on coding and guiding one or more contingent developers to meet the objectives for your project assignments. You will ensure delivery of the project roadmap while producing sustainable, reusable, well-tested code that meets our internal agile software development standards. You must effectively manage the engineering function for your assigned project to ensure its successfully delivery to production. As a lead Engineer you must foster strong working relationships with team members and internal business partners to effectively manage priorities and ensure success of your projects.

Responsibilities

  • Proven track record of leading delivery of BI/Analytics and/or EI solutions
  • Support design, development, testing and enhancements of BI/Analytics solutions supporting multiple business domains across the enterprise
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with team members clearly and precisely, verbally and written within the agile framework to meet the sprint planning objective
  • Deliver high quality, well written code that is quickly understood and easily supported and maintained by others.
  • Creating detailed documentation like high level design, detailed design, deployment guide, operations manual and test case document 
  • Understand trends, technical developments in the broader industry and how those can be applied within the organization
  • Present and communicate complex ideas and features to a broad audience effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Management or related fields 
  • 8+ years of hands-on development experience implementing BI/Analytics and data solutions 
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in Tableau, creating data model and visualization
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on data modeling experience using any relational database (SQL Server, Oracle)
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on data modeling experience using Snowflake
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and communicate fluently with business users, technical staff and management
  • Good organization and problem-solving skills 
  • Experience developing in an agile software development environment (Scrum) 
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized 
  • Willingness to learn and master unfamiliar technologies and/or concepts  
  • Excellent verbal and written technical documentation skills 

Nice to haves

  • Experience developing BI data pipelines using IICS (Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services)
  • Experience developing and supporting enterprise systems integration
  • Experience designing and developing PUB/Sub, event based, APIs and microservices
