Guidepoint’s Business Development teams are passionate about expanding our reach with both new and existing clients. We support all of Guidepoint’s service offerings, helping to build relationships and communicate how Guidepoint helps clients stay informed and make better business decisions. Our teams are motivated to provide custom offerings designed to help every potential client make the most of their partnership with Guidepoint. The Guidepoint Data team is looking for a Vice President of Business Development with a background selling data and information services, ideally within the healthcare, medical device, and/or biotech space. As Vice President, you will have a significant impact on strengthening client relationships; you will work to further develop our business with major medical device manufacturers and other top life science firms.

What You’ll Do:

  • Generate revenue by selling access to our subscription-based platform of expertise
  • Build and maintain relationships with major medical device manufacturers and other top life science firms
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified prospects
  • Develop a strong knowledge and understanding of the competitive landscape and be able to effectively articulate our value proposition
  • Maintain accurate account and pipeline data in Salesforce.com
  • Help produce marketing collateral for pitches and events
  • Gather client feedback to better understand individual account/client needs, and support implementation of new measures

What You Have:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience selling data or research into the healthcare/biotech/medical device industry.
  • Proven network of contacts and relationships is critical to success
  • Broad-based knowledge of the sales process, from lead generation to relationship management
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to think creatively and focus on opportunities for growth
  • Superior analytical and critical thinking skills, organizational skills, and meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to travel, as necessary - remote work an option
