Team Lead, Client Service - Consulting Clients

The Client Service team is the backbone of Guidepoint’s success. The team is responsible for efficiently delivering Guidepoint’s services to our clients around the world. We work to understand each client’s unique business questions and help them gain critical insights to stay informed and make better business decisions. As an Associate on the Client Service team you will focus on making the right connections between our clients and Advisors across numerous industries. Your role will focus on researching industries relevant to client project requests and recruiting elite subject matter experts into our network to ensure the right connection is made. After you master these core skills of recruiting and connecting Advisors with clients, you will gain additional exposure to more complex project and client relationship management as you grow your career here and move into Research Manager and Project Manager roles.   • Work closely with VP to oversee and manage performance of all Project Managers, Research Managers and Associates on Team
  • Work closely with team to conduct quarterly account reviews, analyze account profitability and develop and execute on strategic account goals
  • Manage projects for new and priority clients, focusing on account growth and relationship-building
  • Manage overall client servicing within group, maintaining positive relationships and encouraging client outreach initiatives
  • Attend client meetings (both current clients and prospects)
  • Meet regularly with Project Managers to review current projects and progress toward annual and monthly goals
  • Continually train team members on best research, communications, service and compliance practices, as well as new research resources and technology
  • Work with Research Operations Manager, other Team Leads and counterparts in other offices to optimize research process and propose improvements
  • Partner with East Coast Team Leads to grow client accounts and ensure seamless project delivery across time zones
  • Manage day-to-day decisions concerning commercial terms of Advisor recruitment
  • Supervise and encourage utilization of research resources
  • Be well versed in Guidepoint’s compliance policies and ensure that Compliance is a key element of the service that we provide


  • Bachelors degree required
  • 3-5 years' experience in client service, business information (subscription) services, market or business research or similar. Experience with expert networks highly desired; recruiting background a plus.
  • Outgoing personality with the ability to speak with people at all professional levels
  • Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work both individually and as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
