Healthcare Project Manager

Responsibilities:

You'll sit in the center of our growing healthcare business, helping clients (corporates, hedge funds, institutional investors, private equity, investment banks) collect the primary research insights they need to explore and refine business-critical strategies, from new market entry and product launches to acquisitions and licensing deals.

As the go-to person responsible for the day-to-day relationship and service delivery for a portfolio of institutional investor and/or corporate clients, you'll communicate with clients about their research requests. Using your knowledge of the healthcare industry, you'll research, identify, and recruit appropriate experts for private telephone discussions, meetings, and surveys, then connect these experts to your clients. You'll also direct the expert recruitment efforts of the Research Associates assigned to support your clients.

You'll teach Research Associates how to recruit experts and monitor industry trends, and mentor them on career development. And you'll work closely with the Sales and Relationship Management teams to optimize your clients' use of Guidepoint's services. As part of this initiative, you'll meet your clients at their workplaces, and lead new client on-boarding calls.

Responsibilities:

You're comfortable picking up the phone to speak with leading experts across the healthcare ecosystem—accomplished healthcare practitioners, scientists, researchers, hospital executives, payors, regulators, and other professionals. In your previous position(s), your peers and managers have commended your sharp attention to detail and verbal and written communication skills. You're energized by tight deadlines and multiple priorities—they focus your efforts and spur you to develop smarter ways to organize your work. And you're so ready to tackle your next challenge.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a life science from a top-tier university (Master's degree or higher degree highly preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience at one or more of the following:

Biotech/pharma/medical device/life sciences or related company

Healthcare-focused position in advertising, investor relations, or public relations

A research or market research position focused on healthcare or life sciences

Financial services or equity research firm with a focus on healthcare or life sciences

  • Previous client or account management experience
