Operations Analyst (CLO and Private Funds)

About the Position:
Guggenheim is seeking an Operations Analyst to join the Entity Servicing team with strong focuses on CLO and Private Funds. This person will be responsible for the modeling and ongoing maintenance of CLOs and Private Funds. The position requires close interaction with various parties including custodian banks, trustees, administrative agent banks, portfolio managers, traders, auditors, and analysts. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in bank debt and fixed income securities.

The Operations Analyst role presents an opportunity to join a team that sits at the 'hub' of Guggenheim Investments at an exciting time of growth and evolution at all levels of the company. The position is located in the New York office.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining portfolio models and preparing weekly management reports
  • Reviewing Trustee monthly reports which includes cash and position reconciliation
  • Calculating quarterly payment waterfalls and verifying the results with the Trustee
  • Running daily hypothetical trades and validating compliance within the investment guidelines
  • Supporting ad hoc requests from portfolio managers, traders, structuring and marketing teams
  • Assisting with CLO warehousing, closing, and effective date processes, as required
  • Building new or improving existing CLO or Private Funds models by interpreting the governing legal documents, as needed
  • Developing a strong understanding of the CLO and Private Funds business and overall operation team's processes and help improve any inefficiencies

Skills & experience required:
  • Bachelor's degree with minimum 1-2 years of CLO or bank loan experience
  • Must be familiar with bank debt and fixed income securities
  • Strong excel skills required
  • Must be computer literate
  • Knowledge of Wall Street Office, Aladdin, Excel, and Bloomberg a plus
  • Organized, detail oriented and extremely thorough with strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to take initiative
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced and challenging environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
