Director of Development

Specific Responsibilities Include

Oversee entitlement process from start of project through construction, and be permitted to utilize consultants where applicable

Manage construction aspect of all projects to include, but not limited to:

o Project Scheduling (development through completion of construction)

o Construction contracts and administration

o Routine construction meetings on and off site

o Monthly pay applications and approvals

o All associated project testing

o Change orders

o Project invoicing and cost management

o Closeout documentation

Create preliminary budgets for all projects

Create and manage overall schedules for all projects

Oversee and manage design for all sites including architectural, civil engineering, landscape design, signage, etc.

Manage information and reporting aspects of all projects using Expesite, including documentation control, project milestones and cost reporting for overall project through development and completion of construction

Manage outside consultants assigned to specific projects, this includes:

o Geotech consultant

o Environmental engineers

o Architects

o Civil Engineers

o Surveyors

o Sign Vendors

o Attorneys as required for entitlement work

Travel may be approximately 50% of working time

Skil ls & Experience Required

10+ years in development and construction of retail/commercial buildings

BS in Construction Management preferred, or equivalent work experience

Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Project, as well as web-based project management software

system similar to Expesite

Excellent track record of on-time, in-budget performance

Proactive & solutions-oriented; innovative

Learning agile, able to adapt quickly and appropriately in accordance with the constant evolution

of the company and industry

Responsive to client needs

Collaborative, energized by the open exchange of ideas

Strong attention to detail; accurate
