Territory Associate-Vancouver Island

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute territory business plans for product mix with the goal of achieving/surpassing sales objectives
  • Effectively develop sales plans for individual customers to drive business growth, and set appropriate short term objectives for customer calls to achieve long term goals
  • Effectively integrate product knowledge into a relevant informative dialogue which brings customers an insightful perspective and adds value for your customers
  • Understand how patients and health care professionals navigate the health care system and integrate these insights in the dialogue with the customers
  • Build and maintain a network of health care professionals with the goal of product mix sales growth
  • Communicate and consult with product managers, field representatives and cross functional partners in project planning and analysis of new business opportunities
  • Allocate budget and effectively use available resources (internal and external) to create customer value
  • Thoroughly understand GSK products, strategies, and positioning and the strategy and positioning of other treatments in the disease state
  • Prepare and submit administrative reports as required, on a timely basis

Qualifications Required:
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree
  • Well-developed written and communication skills
  • Demonstrated active listening skills
  • Strong desire and skills to excel within a team environment
  • Working knowledge of computer technology

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous sales experience
  • Demonstrate an acute sense of responsibility and urgency regarding successful territory management
  • Show ability to build and maintain access with a wide network of customers
  • Develop innovative business solutions
  • Ability to persuade and influence without authority
  • Continuous Improvement - Ability to continuously set and track stretch performance targets
  • Proven ability to enable and drive change
  • Working knowledge of interpretation of scientific research studiesIn-depth knowledge of data analysis techniques

This position requires the employee to drive routinely on Company business and allows for the provision of a company - leased vehicle. However, to be eligible for this position and a company vehicle, GSK will need to obtain acceptable results from a license verification inquiry and drivers abstract review against its safe driver program requirements
