The Core Technology area provides exposure to lead several sub-categories which include; Managed Infrastructure Services, Compute, Storage, Service Management, and Enterprise Cloud Solutions (SaaS and application hosting)

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. Key responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Partner with Core Tech leadership team to understand and influence the tech strategy and gain visibility of how best Procurement can support to deliver their strategic priorities
  • Create strategies to deliver the savings plan and develop new innovative ways to find more commercial opportunities across the landscape
  • Lead high profile negotiations with large enterprise partners, ensuring maximum commercial benefit whilst ensuring business needs are met
  • Create, refresh and implement existing category strategies for each of the sub-categories
  • Manage senior level stakeholders and challenge thinking, strategy or decisions by bringing strong commercial knowledge and market insights to bear
  • Drive Procurement level initiatives including; supplier diversity and inclusion, improvements to working capital and guided buying

Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 or more years of technology procurement experience
  • Experience with strategic sourcing methodologies and best practices
  • Experience working with global providers of hardware, software, and IT services
  • Experience managing executive level stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
  • Master's degree in Business, Technology, Mathematics, or Supply Chain Management
  • Global Procurement experience
  • Demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills
  • Strong Risk Management Experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
