Regional Category Lead, Production Supplies and EHS Procurement EU

Your Responsibilities:
Regional Category Lead, Production Supplies & EHS is a role operating in a highly complex, multi-stakeholder and cross-functional environment.
This role will be accountable for input, creation and execution of category strategies to meet the business needs across all business units.
Regional Production Supplies and EHS will partner closely with the Rx/Cx/Vx supply chains and R&D teams to execute strategies, ensure benefit realization. Will be responsible for executing contract performance and governance as appropriate.

Your responsibilities:
• Responsible for supporting the Global MRO spend across GSK network but specifically accountable for a portion of that spend as in agreement with the MRO category lead
• Execute and lead contract performance and governance
• Accountable to define and execute the strategy
• Support the implementation of critical contracts, take specific accountability for identified parts of the project
• Engagement with stakeholders- working collaboratively with EHS, the Engineering organisation and all Supply Chain stakeholders (Rx, Cx, Vx), and the R&D teams to drive buying strategies
• Supporting Value Engineering and Savings Programmes: optimise the performance of existing assets in addition to the on-going buying responsibility for capital equipment
• Developing People & Capabilities: develop the capabilities & behaviours of the team
• Developing & Embedding Processes & Ways of Working as the new Procurement operating model evolves


Why You?

Basic qualifications:
• Master's Degree or MBA
• Credible Procurement professional with experience gained in Large BlueChip, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare or FMCG Environment
• Experience of large scale energy and utility contracts
• Commercial acumen with demonstrated success in delivering a competitive commercial advantage. Successful multi-year track record in delivering year on year savings in a challenging economic climate
• Demonstrated ability to forge close business relationships with internal and external stakeholders at management level
• Skilled negotiator adept at managing complex negotiations at management level with both external and internal stakeholders
• Expertise in delivering change programmes to switch supply base to achieve lower cost whilst retaining secure supply
• Considerable specialist knowledge and practical experience and viewed as subject matter expert in managing Logistics in a regional/global sourcing context
