You will support the site's strategy by ensuring the production equipment is available to produce when needed & to deliver product per customer demand. This role leads engineers and technicians.

  • Responsible for Maintenance & Reliability of Production equipment on site.
  • Responsible for spare parts.
  • Responsible for Dept. Budgets and Inventory control for Maintenance Spare Parts.
  • Responsible for ensuring effective troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
  • Responsible for coaching & executing the Preventive Maintenance strategy for the site. This will be based on Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM), Preventative Maintenance (PM) and other industry standards.
  • Must become an SME of the site's CMMS.
  • Plan, schedule, and provide training and coaching to team members in TPM, Planned Maintenance & Root Cause Analysis processes while maintaining efficiency at the highest possible level at the lowest possible cost consistent with prescribed quality standards.
  • Lead site Maintenance strategy and implement programs to support site Objectives.
  • Create and implement strategic goals.
  • Interact with multiple sites to implement best practices for Maintenance.
  • Drive Maintenance L1 audits.
  • Responsible for site Maintenance KPIs.
  • Work with managers effectively to execute the policies and goals of the organization.
  • Initiate plans and processes which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities and materials.
  • Recommend improvements and desirable modifications in methods, procedures, processes, equipment and layout.
  • Lead Kaizen events, A3 and projects as required and actively participate in the Gemba walks.
  • Manage vendors and consultants to ensure that contracts contain appropriate technical specifications are delivered as required.
  • Stay current on developments in the field of Equipment Maintenance & Reliability and GSK Standards.
  • Interface with users, peers, and management to ensure appropriate input and integration of local and corporate standards.
  • Provide technical expertise during regulatory audits.
  • Author, review, revise, or approve Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) as required.
  • Responsible for on time Compliance records of Maintenance Department.
  • Participate in site Operational Excellence initiatives.
  • Participate on cross-functional teams, who address specific problems, facilitate discussion and research, enabling procedures to become more efficient, and to build and enhance interdepartmental relationships.
  • Perform all job responsibilities in compliance with applicable regulations, standard operating procedures, and industry practice.
  • Adhere to all GSK safety guidelines and procedures
  • Participate on cross-functional teams, who address specific problems, facilitate discussion and research, enabling procedures to become more efficient, and to build and enhance interdepartmental relationships.
  • Provide technical support for Manufacturing and Packaging equipment and systems.
  • Perform all job responsibilities in compliance with applicable regulations, standard operating procedures, and industry practice.
  • Work on any assignment as directed.

Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
  • Bachelor's of Science or Arts
  • 10 years of Maintenance experience required.
  • 7 years experience in Supervisor or Managerial roles.

Preferred Qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5 years of experience in Pharmaceutical industry.
  • TPM PM Pillar and AM Pillar hands on experience.
  • Good written and communication skill to communicate with all company management levels.
  • CMMS knowledge (e.g. SAP).
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Root cause analysis knowledge.
