  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on building utility systems.
  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on some production equipment.
  • Work on assignments that are extremely complex in nature where independent action and a high degree of initiative are required in resolving problems and developing recommendations.
  • Work and participate effectively in a team environment; within the department, with other departments, and with outside contractors.
  • As required, will serve as the on call technician 24 hours a day for emergency situations that may arise.
  • Require supervision of outside contractors performing facility and equipment related services.\
  • Require technician level operation of the computerized maintenance system data base
  • Re-enforce EHS rules and policies within work area
  • Elevate any identified EHS risks, for which assistance is needed in order to mitigate, through tiered accountability
  • Must work effectively with outside contractors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The Utility Technician will be responsible for providing input to the Supervisor Facilities when discussing departmental decisions concerning maintenance and repair of utility and process equipment. The typical work hours for this position are a standard work day and 40 hour work week, with shift work being a possibility depending on manufacturing demand. There is also an on-call rotation consisting of 24/7 support for alarm monitoring and emergency services. Some travel may be required.

  • 1-3 years experience with a biopharmaceutical company.
