AnT Trainee - Operations Technician

This Attach-and-Train (AnT) Programme is a 21 months training program in collaboration with WSG and TP. This is an initiative aimed at empowering engineering talents with a hands-on induction into pharmaceutical industry, particularly in the manufacturing of vaccines and to build manpower capability in the biologic manufacturing industry in Singapore.

We are currently looking for candidates who are keen to enhance their technical capabilities to join the diverse Engineering team team and be part of GSK's larger organization purpose.

In this role you have the opportunity to be exposed to:

  • Participate in preparation, operations and completion of assigned process stages to ensure the production of vaccines within established timing and quality standards.
  • Ensure good housekeeping of the facilities so as to keep them in good operational order in line with current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), safety and environmental requirements.

Basic role requirement:
  • Able to work on shifts ( 8 hours or 12 hours depending on the team)
  • A science education background, Higher Nitec or Diploma
  • Able to work in a clean room environment
  • Heavy lifting is required for this role ( over 20 kg over a short period of time)
  • Candidate must be able to identify colour in order to check the quality of buffer as part of the vaccine manufacturing process

Ideally we are looking for candidates with:
  • a Bachelor Degree in a science field.
  • Knowledgeable of current good manufacturing practices and FDA guidelines
  • Proficient in the following computer software applications: Word, Excel, Access, Adobe Acrobat Professional and PowerPoint
  • Ability to prioritize activities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent presentation, communication, planning and co-coordinating skills Meticulous, proactive and team player
