Griffith Foods is hiring a Director, Global Enterprise Applications to drive modernization and transformation. You will lead our development efforts using Microsoft and additional technologies to enhance operational efficiency and innovation. Responsibilities include custom applications and packaged products development. As a direct report to the Global VP of IT, this is your opportunity to shape our technological direction and keep us at the forefront of the industry.
As a Director of Global Enterprise Applications, your responsibilities will include:
- managing Enterprise Applications for entire global business, developing enterprise-grade organizations and optimizing processes with effective communication to influence without authority when needed.
- leading development projects on a global scale, concentrating on expanding and updating our IT technology infrastructure and delivering SaaS to meet the evolving needs of the business. This will include managing project timelines, resources, and budgets efficiently, ensuring project delivery timely and within budget.
- leading the creation, customization, and implementation of IT solutions using the Microsoft tech stack, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 - ERP and CRM. As well as .NET, X++, C#, SQL, third-party application support, and integrations to address business challenges and enhance operational efficiency.
- collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements and solutions.
- advocating for the adoption and optimization of the Systems Platform, ensuring that IT systems are scalable, reliable, and secure.
- identifying, tracking & strategically managing technical debt across the organization's technology landscape. This includes assessing the long-term impact of technical decisions, prioritize remediation efforts, and ensure that short-term solutions do not compromise long-term system health and scalability. providing leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the development team, promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. Define work intake process and align priorities with IT peers and business partners
- partnering with external vendors and service providers as necessary to support IT initiatives and projects.
- partnering closely with IT Infrastructure & Operations, IT Security, and Data Architecture peers and their teams to ensure adherence to standards and policies
- remaining informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, assessing their potential impact on the business to guide strategic decision-making.
The Director of Global Enterprise Applications position is well-suited for you if you:
- Are a leader of global enterprise-wide development projects, delivering complex IT initiatives on time and within budget.
- Are skilled in developing enterprise-grade organizations and optimizing processes
- Are a strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to translate business needs into actionable IT strategies and initiatives.
- Exhibit an analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making.
- Have a proven ability to oversee large projects with project teams of 15-20 and project budgets of up to $3 million.
- Successfully manage vendor relationships such as Microsoft, Blue Yonder, Red Zone, FiiX, etc. as well as consulting service vendors.
- Excellent leadership, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills, and are able to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Qualified candidates will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related area
- At least 15 years of experience in IT development, with a focus on software development, systems integration, and project management.
- At least 10 years experience with and technical proficiency in common IT systems and terminology including: Microsoft .NET, X++, C#, SQL, third-party integrations, GitHub, and Dynamics 365.
- Experience in and understanding for creating applications with a security mindset and focus
- Willingness & ability to travel occasionally in order to participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance brand visibility as well as project implementations
What will set you apart:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related area
- Experience with other Microsoft technologies such as Azure, Power Platform, and Power BI.
- Previous experience ERP and CRM, especially MS Dynamics
- Certification in Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Previous SaaS experience in a manufacturing / supply chain environment using tools such as Blue Yonder, Red Zone, FiiX.
