Sales Coordinator

The Sales Coordinator provides administrative support to the Director of Corporate Sales and overall sales team to achieve budgeted room revenue goals and the annual sales and marketing plan. This individual also has a keen sense of style, a passion for downtown life & culture, and an innate understanding of the hotel brand.

Essential Functions:
•Develop strong product knowledge of hotel’s features & benefits (amenities, services and attributes).
•Develop strong working knowledge of hotel systems including Opera, Delphi, Payroll, etc.
•Have basic knowledge of hotel rates, strategies, discounts and promotions.
•Develop working knowledge of competitive set to understand how to overcome objectives.
•Develop strong customer relationships through appropriate client communication and the use of professional, courteous and ethical interpersonal interaction.
•Work with sales team to achieve assigned sales team goals (Entertainment, Corporate, Group).
•Answer sales office phones. Respond to all sales inquiries (phone, email, fax, web) accurately, timely and in a professional manner.
•Handle client needs, provide conference servicing to assigned groups, respond to client and report back to the appropriate manager.
•Responsible for effectively communicating with the various departments to ensure that the group experience and related events exceed the client’s expectations.
•Prepare correspondence, reports and necessary forms i.e. business review forms, contracts, prepare proposals, group turnovers, or other letters as directed.
•Maintains well documented, accurate, organized and up-to-date file management in order to serve client and employer in the most expedient, organized and knowledgeable manner.
•Produce required sales and marketing reports.
•Assist with market research to identify opportunities, need dates and demand generating events.
•Assist with site inspections, property tours and client entertainment.
•Assist with completing any required sales reports.
•Order office supplies and maintain stock.

Peripheral Functions:
•Work closely and effectively with all hotel staff
•Communication back to Sales Director
•Creates programs and procedures to maintain and improve business efficiency

Job Knowledge and Skills:
•Computer efficiency: Microsoft programs / Delphi – sales & catering system
•Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written
•Highly developed customer service skills

Education: College degree preferred
