Marketing Manager

Reporting directly to the President, the Marketing Manager will define and execute digital and traditional marketing strategies for the Soho Grand & The Roxy Hotel, as well as support the strategies of all departments. The Marketing Manager will work closely with heads of sales, food & beverage, design, revenue, catering, and events departments. The individual also has a keen sense of style and design, a passion for downtown life & culture, and an innate understanding of branding and brand development.

Responsibilities:
•Collaborate with the Design department or freelance design agent on the production of e-marketing templates, collateral, promotional materials, in-room pieces, point of sale materials, menus, website direction and branding.
•Coordinate with Director of Sales and Director of Revenue Management in the development and implementation of e-marketing campaigns, special offers, sales promotions, sales collateral, directory submissions, listings and GDS and consortia advertising.
•Coordinate with Director of Food and Beverage in the development of and implementation of e-marketing campaigns, catering & events collateral and point of sale materials.
•Develop annual marketing plan and budget.
•Lead relationship with web agency in order to maintain property websites and microsites.
•Identify and implement SEM and SEO objectives & strategy alongside Agency of Record.
•Direct and identify best practices in e-marketing: execute e-marketing plan, analyze results, R.O.I. and review and update property descriptions, property features & photography on third party sites.
•Maintain marketing database.
•Maintain library of photography, fonts, logos and insure compliance in use.
•Produce monthly & weekly marketing reports.
•Assist in the production of photography, collateral and sales & marketing materials – manage freelance creative agent when necessary.
•Manage any property photo shoots in public spaces, rooms and venues.
•Ensure to react in a timely manner to marketing requests from other hotel departments.
•Assist in the implementation of marketing/promotional events and partnerships, including particular barters, collaborations and special events.
•Maintain guest TV interface
•Develop marketing programs from conception to execution to support the growth of and elevate the GrandLife Hotels brand.
•Manage property media buy.
•Oversee project management of creative initiatives including the communication of requirements, timelines, expectations and deliverables as needed.
•Participate in brand building efforts to identify growth opportunities for prospective customer acquisition.
•Leverage and create relevant contacts in music, arts, fashion and design to develop strategic marketing partnerships to enhance the GrandLife Hotels brand.
•Contribute content ideas to GrandLife Hotels culture site and connect contributors to Editorial Manager when possible.

Requirements:
Education: College degree preferred.

Personal Qualities: Be personable, well spoken, organized, diplomatic, and sincere. Willingness to emulate GrandLife brand through presentation and style. Refined style with an interest in Music, Fashion, Art, Dining & Nightlife particularly pertaining to Downtown New York. Must be willing to take ownership of role and follow all projects through to completion.

Skills: Advanced computer skills in word processing, spread sheet, as well as ZDirect, Wordpress, Creative Suite: InDesign and Photoshop, and all social media platforms. Excellent communication and time management. Strong organizational skills; ability to multi- task; detail-oriented; excellent writing, and interpersonal skills; and able to prioritize to meet strict deadlines. Self-motivating and self-starting.

Required experience & skills:
•3-5 years marketing experience with hospitality, lifestyle, or fashion brands
•Fluency in key marketing concepts, both digital and offline
•Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite and design experience
•Proficient with Wordpress
•Experience with Google AdWords and Analytics
•Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written
•Proven track record developing & implementing marketing programs across a variety of channels
•Experience managing budgets
