Docketing and Calendaring Clerk

Responsibilities: The Docketing & Calendaring Clerk (the "Calendar Clerk") is responsible for the administration and maintenance of the Litigation Department's Goodwin LED (Litigation Event Docketing) system for federal and state matters. In that role, the Calendar Clerk is one of the central Court Procedures Team informational resources for litigation-related calendar inquiries. The Calendar Clerk is also called upon to be a fully-trained participant in the day to day execution of the Firm's Goodwin LED workflow queue including: rules compliance review; document review and analysis for calendar events; CompuLaw event entry, deadline generation and accuracy review; research of local rules, orders, and judicial preferences to ensure accurate deadline generation; and routine CompuLaw database administration. In addition, the Calendar Clerk, on an as needed basis, in conjunction with the Director of Court Procedures and the Docketing & Calendaring Manager participates in the Firm's Knowledge Management initiatives and projects.RequirementsBachelor's Degree required with 0-5 years relevant experience in a law firm setting. The ideal candidate should have a working knowledge of federal and state court rules, courts' structures, procedural legal research, litigation support and MS Office experience. Candidates must possess a professional demeanor, superior oral and written communication skills, strong client service skills, superior attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced professional environment. Preference will be given to a candidate who has experience with: (i) CompuLaw Vision, (ii) Aderant MyView, and (iii) California or New York procedural and calendaring rules.Apply On-lineSend This Job to a Friend
