Job Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York. Execution and management of trades and positions for all Government bond, agency bonds, rates and derivative strategies. Engage with the approved broker-dealer sales and trading teams to accomplish the objectives set out by the relevant Portfolio Manager (PM) or other supervisor, which include: Working with the PMs to identify instruments that need to be sold, and selling these securities via the phone, Bloomberg, and other means commonly found in the Over The Counter (OTC) market; Buying the securities identified by our PMs in the same manner as above; and Collect and analyze market information, including but not limited to: securities that are being offered by other market participants, relevant news and public market information, and trading volumes. Construction of Fixed Income portfolios across a diverse range of account types: Working with the PMs to accomplish the investment objectives of the clients, which includes data analysis of existing client positions, preparing ad-hoc and regular reports for PMs on this data, suggesting changes to existing positions based on this analysis, etc.; and Monitoring of various risk metrics, reviewing the exposure of client portfolios to these risks with the PMs and suggesting changes as necessary. Contribution to investment views with the potential to apprentice into a Portfolio Manager role over time: Identify and implement security selection and relative value opportunities; Review, analyze and summarize published broker-dealer research in relevant markets; Participate in the regular (weekly/monthly) team meetings via: analysis - including statistical analysis - of a particular market topic; accurate and timely reporting of exposures in client accounts; compilation and analysis of the performance of client accounts; and Recommending new strategies, exposures, or investments as appropriate for our accounts. Driven innovation through automation and process enhancements: Drive increased use of technology and analytics tools to improve scales, streamline investment platform.

Job Requirements: Master's degree or Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Mathematics, Finance, Analytics, or a related field. Three (3) years of experience with a Master's degree or five (5) years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in the job offered or in a related position. Three (3) years of experience with a Master's degree or five (5) years of experience with a Bachelor's degree with: working at an Asset management or global investment banking firm; trading, portfolio construction, or risk management of fixed income investment instruments: including bonds, interest rate derivatives and repurchase agreements; trading, portfolio construction, or risk management of both listed and OTC derivatives; running data analysis on financial markets and utilizing statistical modelling skills to determine market trends; performing scenario analysis on financial products, including developed market interest rates, to understand exposure and risk; and optimization and automation of processes to evaluate and improve business efficiency and workflows. Travel required <5% of the time to meet with clients and attend conferences.

Salary Range: The expected annual base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $199,000-$290,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
