Technology - Platform - Risk Control Program Coordinator - Vice President - New York

Platform is a global, multi-disciplinary team responsible for researching, designing, testing and building world-class tools, practices and systems used across Goldman Sachs. Partnering with colleagues from Technology and the business, Platform solves critical problems, maintains and strengthens essential systems, provides training and internal consultancy, and safeguards the firm's culture of high-caliber software engineering. Platform Risk & Analytics team aims to reduce both technology and operational risks by identifying control weakness and themes by continuous control monitoring of key indicators and/or applying data analysis techniques. This program leverages tools and modeling to ensure technology policies and standards address critical risks and adequately address regulatory expectations in the Platform team.


  • Responsible for the establishment and implementation the best in class development practices within GS engineering groups.


  • Engage with application and platform teams to provide timely transparency of technology and operational risks
  • Work with and demand active involvement from Global team and targeted Tech liaisons to plan and remediate Mandatory control activities
  • Gamify / Engineer chase related risk activities and reduce high touch interactions to change in organization behaviors
  • Continuous monitoring, alerting and issue tracking and resolution to address vulnerabilities found technology risk activities

  • General query, report generation and dash-boarding (SQL, Click-view )
  • Analytical mindset, creativity and commercial focus
  • Experience building and sustaining long-term relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Judgment to prioritize and escalate issues in order to influence objectives and outcomes
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of metrics concepts and processes is preferred
  • Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, problem solving, organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent influencing skills at all levels and the ability to develop and maintain good relationships
