Middleware Engineering covers a range of products from database management to big data platforms. The successful candidate will become familiar with all of these platforms and become proficient in several in order to drive the automation and self-service strategy for operational support. Strategic engagement with application development teams to provide timely end-to-end delivery of appropriate platform solutions. Continually evaluate the operation of the environment and assist in optimizing the delivery of the products to clients. Responsible for reduction in operational overhead by building automated / self-service tools using both scripting and high level programming languages. Driving strategic initiatives and delivery of key programs of work across Middleware Engineering.


Middleware Engineering provides software based infrastructure solutions and subject matter expertise to application teams. This group ensures the firm is positioned for emerging technology offerings and spans Big Data, Machine Learning, Database, Messaging, Java, App Entitlement Management, Market Data, External Financial Messaging and related engineering efforts.



Middleware Engineering covers a range of products from messaging to Big Data. The successful candidate will become familiar with all of these products and develop the software to automate delivery and operational support, as well as self-service tools for the application developers who utilize these products. Drive strategic initiatives and delivery of key programs of work across Middleware Engineering. Partner with other engineering teams to deliver enterprise solutions.


Basic Qualifications

  • Analytical, problem solver
  • Ability to articulate thoughts clearly and influence
  • Ability to perform trend/gap analysis and provide recommendation to address risks
  • Strong experience in Java/Perl or Python
  • Working knowledge of the Unix/Linux Operating systems
  • Understanding and familiarity of database management systems i.e. Sybase/DB2/Oracle
  • Ability to work as part of a Global team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive experience with Python (particularly Python 3)
  • Extensive experience with RDBMS or NoSQL platforms
  • Experience with test-driven development and strong SDLC
  • Perl experience very helpful
  • B. Tech
