The Regional Specialist is a broad application support role which is unique in Asia, mainly focusing on various initiatives such as market related regulation changes, business vendor relationship management, new/existing business analysis, liaising with Application Development teams in hub offices for development and supporting day-to-day. Engineering education background and familiarity with the Korea market products and architecture is prerequisite. Good written and oral communication skills, in both English and Korean is a must.



This role gives an opportunity to learn and support a full spectrum of trading applications covering client connectivity, algorithm trading, sales and trading, program trading, exchange connectivity.

The candidate would be expected to perform the following roles ;

Risk Management

  • Notify the business unit of system issues of failures in timely manner
  • Notify the Legal & Compliance of regulatory risk issues in timely manner
  • Run change/incident management process, adhering to local regulations
  • Point of contact for regulatory request data queries

Business Vendor Relationship Management
  • Liaise with the vendors for new business requests or enhancement and Exchange rule or regulatory requirements
  • Investigating and resolving data quality and system stability

Business Relation
  • Work with users for industry or global releases that affects Korea
  • New business initiatives analysis and proposals

Supporting and Coordination of Development
  • Responsible for ready-for-business checks for Korea
  • Proactively monitor trade flows and connections
  • Liaise with App Dev teams for business user, vendor or regulatory driven changes
  • Escalating issues or failures in a timely manner
  • Point of contact for the desk or Federation on day-to-day issues
  • Provide support/guidance on user acceptance or performance testing

  • University education in engineering
  • Have 3-5+ years of experience in financial industry(especially Securities) with market knowledge is preferred
  • Good communication skill in both English and Korean
  • Strong integrity and ownership, ability to lead and work collaboratively across the teams
  • Solid knowledge of Unix/Linux and able to read codes with simple script development skill
  • Good understanding of Equity cash and listed Derivative trading
