Credit Risk manages the systems that facilitate the business of Credit Risk Management and Advisory (CRMA), the team that is responsible for sales and counterparty credit risk management and rating agency advisory for investment banking partners. Maintains a scenario stress testing engine that is used in a variety of risk and capital calculations as well as applications to allow for the effective risk management of firm counterparties. A role in Finance Engineering under our Credit Risk Technology team offers an exciting confluence of computer science, finance and mathematics being used to solve for what the firm requires to efficiently risk manage the credit risk as well as optimize the credit risk capital. We are looking to fill an Analyst/Associate level position to develop models and analytics using big data sets to compute credit risk and capital metrics. The team liaises with a number of people, including colleagues in technology, risk management, firm-wide strategists, and controllers. We offer opportunities to build software that runs on a cloud comprised of thousands of CPUs running millions of distributed calculations. Credit risk technology is part of the finance engineering department responsible for risk management across credit risk, market risk, liquidity risk and operational risk. We are responsible for the models, applications and infrastructure required to calculate the firm's credit risk and capital. We are responsible for regulatory reporting including CCAR/DFAST. Job Summary & Responsibilities: - Work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment - Understand business needs, facilitating and developing process workflow, data requirements, and specifications required to support implementation - Develop, implement and validate calculations for the Firm's credit exposure and capital to institutional counterparts - Analyze risk changes and build analytics including stress tests, Monte Carlo calculations, based on results of credit risk models - Develop tools and systems risk management, credit risk pricing and CCAR/DFAST calculations and reportingRESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelors degree or higher in statistics, computer science, math, physics or engineering. - Experience in software development, including a clear understanding of data structures, algorithms, software design and core programming concepts - Comfortable with multi-tasking, managing multiple stakeholders and working as part of a team - Excellent communication skills including experience speaking to technical and business audiences and working globally - Can apply an entrepreneurial approach and passion to problem solving and product development - Strong problem solving and analytical skills - Interest in finance- Knowledge of SecDB/Slang - Proficient at working with large and complex code bases - Comfortable working in highly dynamic and rapid development environment (Agile development experience) - Knowledge of financial markets and modeling - Familiarity with credit risk (or like) conceptsABOUT GOLDMAN SACHS
