Securities - Market Structure Strategy - Head of Strategic Partnerships - Vice President - New York

The Market Structure Strategy team is responsible for trading and markets strategic development for the Securities Division. We maintain expertise in market structure developments, shape insights into long-term strategies, and lead execution of strategic priorities. Market Structure Strategy is an impact driven team, comprised of dynamic and entrepreneurial market and infrastructure experts.

The Head of Strategic Partnerships will be responsible for designing and managing our new Strategic Partnerships Program (SPP) and uncovering new business opportunities across the Securities Division.


  • Establish and lead a process that enables GS to engage holistically with select service providers across asset classes, regions and services
  • Research, evaluate and plan for new growth opportunities
  • Develop formalized business plans including commercial terms, go to market strategy and an execution plan
  • Negotiate and bring deals to completion with key stakeholders
  • Work closely across multiple functional areas to execute strategic deals
  • Stay abreast of key industry trends to make recommendations on new revenue opportunities
  • Articulate the strategic direction internally and externally
  • Identify, collect and analyze metrics to drive revenue growth and operating expense savings


The ideal candidate for this role will be an individual with solid experience building revenue partnerships
  • 10+ years of working experience in financial markets, preferably related to market infrastructure and technology
  • Strategic thinker with advanced analytical skills
  • Strong commercial acumen and business judgment
  • Ability to manage concurrent and time sensitive projects, and to drive short- and long-term initiatives
  • Passion for market microstructure and technologies
  • Exceptional communication, writing and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record in managing partnerships
