Securities, Market Sales Strats, GS Techs, Analyst/Associate

Our core value is building strong relationships with our institutional clients, which include corporations, financial service providers, and fund managers. We help them buy and sell financial products on exchanges around the world, raise funding, and manage risk. This is a dynamic, entrepreneurial team with a passion for the markets, with individuals who thrive in fast-paced, changing environments and are energized by a bustling trading floor.

As a strategist who sits in the Securities Division, you will play an integral role on the trading floor. You may create cutting-edge technical analysis models to provide insight into market behavior, or develop automated trading algorithms for the firm and its clients. You might be involved in analyzing trends and producing market content to meet client needs, or involved in designing and developing complex parallel computing architectures, electronic trading tools, and advanced algorithms. Throughout the Securities Division, strategists use quantitative and technological techniques to solve complex business problems.

GS Techs is the Technical Strategy group of the Goldman Sachs Securities Division. The team focuses on price action analysis of the Foreign Exchange, Commodity, Interest Rate and Equity Markets. It employs classic technical analysis tools with an overlay of Elliott Wave techniques to cultivate short-/medium-/long-term technically driven views/themes in developed and emerging markets. Short-term chart analysis is conducted to find tactical opportunities to position or hedge in line with these underlying themes. GS Techs works with a wide variety of asset and liability side clients across the three major regions; Americas, EMEA and Asia.

You will be asked to apply your quantitative and creative skills to develop and enhance models that are reliant on technical analysis, back-testing and optimization. These models may be used in client facing and internally distributed publications. You will also help automate the workflow by developing systematic quantitative solutions to drive efficiency in the production of content for clients internally and externally.
