Operations Specialist with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Jersey City, NJ.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Duties: Operations Specialist with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Jersey City, NJ. Support the delivery of projects within the Firm's Operations division related to regulatory rule changes, strategic architecture changes, enhanced operational control/efficiency or new business requirements. Project initiation and scoping, including definition of plans and setting and managing realistic expectations for successful delivery with project stakeholders. Business analysis and requirements definition. Testing and implementation, including preparation of test plans and coordination of global large scale user acceptance testing. Analyze and understand the Firm's and Operations' strategic plans, business, process and architecture in order to influence design and develop solutions. Assess and streamline operational processes in order to mitigate risk, cost or service issues and generate efficiencies. Liaise with Technology, Sales, Legal, Compliance and Operations groups to enhance processes and procedures and implement regulatory/audit requirements. Perform analysis to ascertain value addition of new initiatives/projects through focusing on various KPIs and efficiency gains to facilitate senior stakeholder decision making.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or equivalent) in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or a related discipline. 2.5 years of experience in the job offered or in a related project consulting position. Prior work experience must include: Designing and implementing efficient technology based solutions; Defining system strategy, developing systems requirements, implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines; Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments; Presentation skills using MS Visio and PowerPoint; Identifying business requirements, requirements management, functional design, prototyping, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), testing, training, defining support procedures and supporting implementations.
