Working in the Product Capital Markets team focusing on mainly Japanese mutual fund market through third party distribution channels(Japan Retail Business).

The team is looking for a candidate who will be involved in all aspects of the product planning, development, preparing sales materials, sales promotion, research, analysis, and reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Responsibilities:

Analyze possibilities to develop full breadth of GSAM investment strategies for distribution of local products.

Develop and sales pitch new products from idea generation basis.

Seek feedback from distribution teams and other areas related to new product proposals, making recommendations regarding product implementation.

Assess profitability of new product proposals and existing products.

Keep abreast of major developments in the industry (ie, tax, regulations, competition, etc) that pose new opportunities or threats to our business.

Assess the competitive position of product range, proposing and implementing changes to existing products to improve their positioning.

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of 7 years investment industry experience in mutual fund sales, planning, strategy

Fluency in English and native level Japanese language (written, spoken)required

Educated to degree level or equivalent

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Strong analytical and project management skills (familiar with Microsoft PowerPoint/Excel/Word); ability to work under pressure and to meet demanding deadlines

Creative, innovative, and proactive

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior work experience preferably in a product development/marketing role
