We work with corporations, pension funds, financial sponsors, and governments and are team of strong analytical thinkers, who have a passion for producing out-of-the-box ideas.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Are you passionate about the financial services industry? We're looking for a professional to join our Investment banking team in Frankfurt who wants to use their skills and ideas to make an impact to the success of the business at Goldman Sachs.
Our bankers provide mergers and acquisitions advice and services to our clients on some of their most important strategic decisions and transactions.
Our firm is a longstanding market leader in M&A advice, including sell-side advice, raid and activism defenses, cross-border M&A, special committee assignments and complicated merger transactions. Our clients are located across the globe and include businesses, private investors, government agencies, private individuals and families. We provide advice on a full range of transactions, including mergers, sales, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, joint ventures, raid defenses, spin-offs, divestitures and other restructurings.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
Investment Banking Associates at Goldman Sachs gain exposure to the firm's businesses and expanded knowledge of the investment banking industry, as they develop key analytical, communications, marketing and sales skills. Associates create and analyze financial models, performing scenario analyses and tests to examine the effects of client alternatives. In addition, Associates organize and prepare presentations, which explain industry trends, discuss client options, and recommend strategies to meet client goals. Associates may also participate in and conduct due diligence sessions, a necessary component of financial transactions. From maintaining client communication to helping Goldman Sachs structure client transactions, our Associates are a vital part of Goldman Sachs' banking teams.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Candidate must have completed an undergraduate degree
- Current experience as an investment banking Associate (or related financial position)
- Drive, enthusiasm, creativity and excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong quantitative and technical abilities
- An outstanding academic record
- Personal integrity, initiative and leadership qualities
- Strong communications, multi-tasking and time management skills
- German industry and language skills are preferred, but not required for the role
