HCM Finance – Vice President – Salt Lake City
Are you looking for an opportunity to showcase your problem-solving, analytical and accounting skills? Do you enjoy using data to provide insights? We have a position available in our Human Capital Management (HCM) Finance team.
Working in close partnership with divisional leadership, the HCM Finance team oversees the division’s (1) program and staff expenses (2) financial allocations and charge backs to other divisions in the firm, (3) budget/reforecast processes and (4) the Vendor Management program and other compliance/regulatory/risk related initiatives.
As a Vice President in the central finance team you will help to drive and manage (1) Budgeting, Reporting and Analytics (2) Accounting and Controls (3) Risk and Compliance Oversight/Reporting.
Budgeting, Reporting and Analytics
Help coordinate the annual budget and quarterly reforecast processes across HCM (including developing deliverable timeline, reporting templates, shared assumptions, etc.)
Consolidate and review all monthly financial reporting & deliverables for different stakeholders
Provide monthly allocation projections to revenue divisions
Submit monthly expense projections for Controllers
Accounting and Controls:
Review monthly sub ledger activity to substantiate accuracy and completeness of HCM’s P&L; book journal entries where necessary
Review and maintain methodologies/metrics used to allocate HCM’s fully loaded expense to divisions
Coordinate Balance Sheet Substantiation and Country Exposure Reporting for HCM balances
Risk and Compliance Oversight / Reporting
HCM’s Vendor Management program for VMO
ORMA – Coordination and oversight of operational risks across the division including RCSA review (Risk and Control Self-Assessment)
SOX – Coordination and oversight of HCM’s control processes impacting the firm’s financials
Other Compliance deliverables
Converged Risk Reporting for Senior Leadership
Various Interaction Points:
CAO office, Controllers, other Divisional CFOs, HCM embedded finance teams, HCM leadership, Compliance, Internal Audit, Operational Risk, Vendor Management Office
Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree
Strong Excel skills
Experience in accounting, budgeting, financial planning, reporting and analysis
Strong accounting and analytical skills: ability to organize and analyze large datasets, detect and correct errors, interpret and report results to various audiences and take responsibility for data quality assurance
Ability to handle multiple, time-sensitive projects in a high pressure environment while ensuring the delivery of high quality work
Attention to detail – highly organized with excellent follow-through and delivery
Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information; impeccable judgment
Demonstrated client service focus and ability to build relationships across levels
Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Relevant business experience demonstrating:
- Successful project management and leadership within a team
- Complex analytic project design and execution
- Professional communication and thought-partnership with clients and stakeholders
Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with accounting tools such as Hyperion Essbase
