Being current and commercial in our content provision and with our bespoke web platform we are breaking new ground as pioneers in the Digital content domain. As part of this digital transformation, you'll lead the next phase of this exciting project, with a strong emphasis on interactive HTML5 media, analytics and multi-channel content distribution.

As an Engineer, you will collaborate with software engineers from around the world to deploy and operate GIR systems. You will help automate and streamline our operations and processes with a focus on security. We use a breadth of tools and approaches to solve a broad spectrum of problems. Practices such as limiting time spent on operational work, blameless post mortems and proactive identification of potential outages factor into iterative improvement that is key to both product quality and interesting and dynamic day-to-day work. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for the set-up, configuration and maintenance of a new research distribution platform AWS infrastructure and security, coupled with the management of the scalability, performance, availability and health of the system by using relevant tools.
Another key element to this position is to enable automation of processes, such as build, testing, deployment and distribution to increase productivity.

• 5+ years' relevant commercial experience
• Strong Linux and command line skills
• Development experience with Java
• SDLC tooling
• Must have experience of Jenkins or similar CI tools
• Experience of working in an Agile environment
• Experience in network, service and application monitoring
• Experience in Cloud Security, Technical Risks evaluation on public cloud setups
• Versed in SDLC, Continuous Deploy, Continuous Integration methodologies and automation tools
• Experienced in evaluating and setting up monitoring needs for cloud platforms
• Terraform or AWS Cloud Formation scripting experience

Preferred Qualifications
• Adobe AEM experience (highly desirable)
• Scripting in Python

• Java is a plus
• Gitlab is a plus
