Duties: Extended Managing Director-Revenue with Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York, NY. Advise Real Estate, Lodging and Gaming corporate, private equity and large institutional clients of the Firm based in the United States, Canada and Latin America and Canada-based corporate, private equity and large institutional clients of the Firm in all sectors on specific issues and considerations associated with the execution of potential capital raisings in the U.S. market, in their home markets, and potentially in other major markets around the world. Market the Firm’s financing capabilities in all of these markets to potential new corporate, private equity and large institutional clients. Execute equity and equity-linked capital raisings for listed companies and Initial. Public Offerings (IPOs) for unlisted companies in the Americas. Advise clients on timing, structuring, marketing and positioning of the client’s investment thesis versus comparable organizations. Provide market updates and commentary to corporate, private equity and large institutional clients and insight on current market sentiment, key issues for investors and other specific topics as may be relevant.
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or equivalent) in a quantitative field such as Finance or Engineering. Ten (10) years of experience in the job offered or in a related investment banking position. Prior work experience must include: Leading a team focused on equity capital markets with direct responsibility for client relationships and origination; Originating primary, secondary equity and convertible issuances for corporates and sponsors; Executing the following types of equity and equity-related offerings for S&P 500 clients: IPOs, primary offerings, secondary offerings and convertibles; execution of minimum deal size of $500M; Utilizing detailed knowledge of the behavior of event-driven investors, hedge fund managers, long-only institutional investors as well as the trading strategies of each; Advising companies on equity market issues and investor sentiment, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisition, shareholder targeting and segmentation, and capital management; Supervising, guiding and coordinating junior professionals’ work product, including reviewing financial modeling work and presentations prepared for live deals, corporate board meetings, investment banking pitches and client service projects on corporate finance topics; supervising and reviewing memoranda required to gain approvals from typical investment banking committees; Presenting to CEO / CFO level corporate clients at board meetings and pitches and on conference calls; Interacting with senior management on a daily basis to execute projects, provide updates and advice and prepare presentation materials especially as it relates to equity underwriting. FINRA Series 7, 24 and 79 licenses required. Significant travel required visiting clients and discussing potential transactions.
