EO, Corporate Communications, New York, Senior Associate/Vice President


Communications teams in the Executive Office support and enhance the firm's culture, brand and reputation. We focus on:

The senior associate/ vice president will work closely with colleagues across the global Corporate Communications team, partnering with other departments in the Executive Office, and assisting teams across the firm with their communication efforts.



  • Write briefers/ talking points for internal and external firm-related events, with a focus on developing messaging for firmwide, divisional and regional leadership
  • Draft and distribute talking points on key announcements or issues affecting the firm, including briefing toolkits coinciding with quarterly earnings and FAQs documents
  • Serve as the project lead for the Client Franchise Newsletter, a monthly firmwide e-mail highlighting key Goldman Sachs transactions (primarily in Investment Banking) from around the globe
  • Source, write and post internal articles and other content for Goldman Sachs' firmwide intranet, GSWeb
  • Assist with the management of the GSWeb editorial pipeline, ensuring timely coverage of firm news and initiatives, and providing editorial guidance to colleagues submitting stories for publication
  • Partner with technology on the evolution of the GSWeb platform, and help execute on Executive Office priorities
  • Act as one of several project managers to help streamline and document various communications best practices and approval/workflow processes
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders


  • At least 5-7 years relevant experience
  • Highest attention to detail
  • A background in corporate communications, investor relations, government affairs or journalism
  • Skilled business writer and proven editorial experience
  • Knowledge of financial services and the products and processes of the firm
  • Broad awareness of current events, industry trends and the regulatory environment
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining high standards
  • Willingness to perform a wide variety of tasks to meet client needs
  • Ability to cultivate relationships across the firm's divisions and business lines
  • High degree of integrity and emphasis on confidentiality
  • Enthusiastic – high energy, team-oriented and a "can do" approach
